Alaska hosts events for UK travel trade

Last week the team at Lotus UK joined representatives from the state of Alaska and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute at a glitzy evening for UK operators and agents at Oxo2, London, to celebrate the launch of the new Icelandair route to Anchorage (via Reykjavik) from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow starting on May 15th.

Agents and operators attended a workshop hosted by a variety of Alaska tourism representatives before enjoying the best of Alaskan seafood including the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon and Black Cod.

Following the workshop, agents and operators were quizzed on their knowledge of Alaska. The evening was closed with an eagerly awaited prize draw to win a holiday to Alaska. Karen Jones from Flight Centre was the lucky winner.
