This year, Spain has announced a landmark strategic partnership with World Travel Market, as WTM's first ever Lead Accessibility Partner.

Together, the organisations are committed to pushing the conversation on accessible travel from awareness to collaboration, practical action and measurable change.

During WTM, a press conference will also introduce Spain’s new campaign ‘Spain; a country for everyone’, as well as showcase progress made by its Spain for All advisory panel on accessibility, created to help build a roadmap for industry-wide action. The launch of a new award and greater accessibility help around the show will be among other tangible results of the tie-up.

Turespaña and Wanderlust’s Most Sustainable Tour Operator to Spain Award

Who’s it for?: Tour operators and relevant media with an interest in Spain and sustainability

Turismo de Andalucía invites trade professionals to its stand for an afternoon of relaxed, hosted drop-in networking with the region's suppliers and destination partners. Guests can drop in at any point between 4pm-6pm, whether for a quick glass of wine between meetings or a longer catch-up as the show winds down for the day.

BALEARIC ISLANDS TOURIST BOARD (AETIB)

The Balearic Islands Tourist Board (comprising Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera) will be discussing its ambitious strategy to achieve a fully circular tourism economy, as well as showcasing the impact of recent tourism legislation to become a more competitive destination.

PALMA DE MALLORCA, CALVIÀ, MENORCA, IBIZA, SANTA EULARIA : STAND S4-200

The capital of the Balearic Island, Palma, will be showcasing its commitment to local engagement with the tourism industry via a new resident engagement programme, and announcing the work undertaken to develop Palma's sports tourism offering.

The region of Calvià will be celebrating its cinematic heritage after this year's “Calvia, Film Set" project, and discussing it's recent nomination as European Capital of Tourism.

Menorca will share the success of the first edition of Opening Menorca, which launched the island's tourist season in April 2026 and be sharing updates on new international connectivity.

Meanwhile Ibiza will be showcasing its family friendly side, while Santa Eulalia (the smart resort on the South-East coast of Ibiza) will be launching its new family guide, new hiking routes, and forging connections with the family, lifestyle and wellness sector.

Menorca (Consell Insular de Menorca) will be hosting its WTM press conference, "Inspired by Menorca", on Tuesday 3 November at 12:00-12:50.

This year, the President of the Consell Insular de Menorca, Adolfo Vilafranca, will share the success of the first edition of Opening Menorca, which launched the island's tourist season with three weeks of cultural events in April. The programme was created with art galleries, museums, and local, national and international artists, and aims to position Menorca as a leading destination for cultural tourism and contemporary art.

The session will cover the key results and impact of the first edition and offer a first look at what's new for 2027 under the new claim, "Inspired by Menorca". Begoña Mercadal, Director of Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca, will also give a brief update on the island's connectivity. The press conference will close with the premiere of a new video capturing the highlights of Opening Menorca 2026.

Palma Press Conference

This year, Managing Director of Fundacion Turisme Palma 365, Pedro Homar, and the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés will announce Palma's new sponsorship of two leading Palma sports teams, a partnership that strengthens the city's ties between sport and tourism. They will also present Palma's new resident pride campaign, which aims to build a closer relationship between locals and the tourism industry and to give back to the people who call the city home.

Calvià Press Conference

About: This year, the Mayor of Calvià, Juan Antonio Amengual and Director General of Tourism and Communication, Jaime, Bosch, will discuss Calvià’s nomination as a finalist for European Capital of Tourism 2027, a recognition of the municipality’s transformation in recent years. Calvià also celebrates its cinematic heritage, building on the “Calvia, Film Set" project, and will play host to the first edition of VERTIFEST with details announced at the press conference.
