ALPHAROOMS.COM APPOINTS LOTUS TO MANAGE BRAND PR IN THE UK

Travel specialist agency, Lotus, has been appointed by online travel site alpharooms.com to manage their PR brief.

As part of alpharooms’ continued growth strategy, Lotus has been briefed to develop a clear campaign to drive awareness and sales. This year will also see alpharooms.com celebrate its 18th birthday.

Lotus supported alpharooms.com with the activation of its sponsorship of Sheffield United Football Club (SUFC), supporting the club’s promotion into the Championship, before handing over the sponsorship to sister company, Teletext Holidays.

The business also recently appointed Chris Thorpe as managing director, previously head of e-commerce at Thomas Cook.

“We were convinced that Lotus would be able to deliver on our objectives for the growth of alpharooms.com. We have been impressed with their vision and creativity and look forward to working with the team as we realise our ambitious targets for growth," said Chris Thorpe, managing director, alpharooms.com.

Jules Ugo, managing director, Lotus “We’re delighted to be appointed by alpharooms. The business has a solid customer base and we look forward to raising the profile both regionally in Sheffield and nationally to establish more of an authoritative voice in what is a very competitive market.”

The account will be headed up by managing director, Jules Ugo and supported by account managers Tim Thackray and Katie Petherbridge.
