An Evening of Alaskan Seafood

Silver Salmon

For 2013, the state of Alaska will be celebrating 100 years since British explorer Hudson Stuck and Americans Harry Karstens, Walter Harper and Robert Tatum became the first people to successfully climb Mount McKinley. Find out more here www.facebook.com/Denali2013

The new Icelandair route to Anchorage via Reykjavik will also be launching this year with connections from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow, starting on May 15th. This new route cuts the journey time down to under 11 hours and operates twice weekly through to mid-September.

To celebrate these great occasions, Lotus UK will be organising a media evening of Alaskan Seafood in collaboration with the State of Alaska and Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) on Tuesday 5th February at L’Atelier des Chefs in London’s West End. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with Alaska tourism representatives whilst cooking and tasting a range of typical Alaska dishes, including the delicious Alaskan Black Cod.

Partners include:

- Alaska Travel Industry Association
- Visit Anchorage
- Fairbanks Convention & Visitors Bureau
- Valdez Convention & Visitors Bureau/Stan Stephens Glacier & Wildlife Cruises
- Alyeska Resort
- Northern Alaska Tour Company
- Anchorage City Trolley Tours
- Alaska Airlines
