Summer 2015 is set to be all about the beach club, so with the weather warming up across Europe, here's our selection of the best beachside venues to relax, sip cocktails, and indulge in some Mediterranean fare.
Located in the heart of Puerto Banús, Marbella, Ocean Club is a private beach side venue offering a seductive mix of modern style, verve and sophistication as well a programme of glamorous events. Now officially open for the 2015 summer season following its opening party headlined by Jess Glynne, Ocean Club has confirmed itself once again as Marbella’s most glamorous hot spot. As well as pool side beds with beach views and an extensive cocktail and wine list, Ocean Club also has a renowned restaurant featuring a fusion of classical French, Asian and Mediterranean dishes.

USHUAIA IBIZA BEACH CLUB, Ibiza
Part of the iconic Ushuaїa Ibiza Beach Hotel, which has revolutionised the daytime party concept in Ibiza since its opening five years ago, the Ushuaїa Ibiza Beach Club sits in front of The Ushuaїa Club in the heart of the Playa d’en Bossa strip, offering one of the most glamourous places on the island to eat, drink and relax. COCO BEACH at Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
Coco Beach is Fuerteventura’s first dedicated chill-out beach club and lounge, which fully opened for the start of 2015 at the luxurious five-star Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahia Real. Sitting across two piers in a bathing beach in front of the hotel, is a cool and calming oceanfront area with minimalist blue and white décor, Balinese beds, relaxing chill-out music and direct access to the sea. At the Coco Beach Lounge and Club, guests can enjoy diverse dining experiences and refreshing cocktails, such as fresh fish of the day with Canarian potatoes and salad or delicious veal meet with red wine, sea-inspired dishes such as octopus gratin with green mojo sauce, baby squid croquettes, prawns in garlic sauce, or deep fried calamari Andalusian style. THE BEACH CLUB AT HARD ROCK HOTEL IBIZA
Having opened just in time for the start of 2014’s summer season, The Beach Club at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza offers something different to the beach club scene along Ibiza’s famous Playa d’en Bossa, with live entertainment, spontaneous dance performances, a great Mediterranean-inspired menu for all-day dining and chic sun loungers. Open throughout the day from 10am to 2am, The Beach Club serves everything from morning espresso, sharing platters of fresh seafood, such as grilled Ibiza Red Prawns or Galician clams, to thirst-quenching juices and sundowners. The lobster paella is a particularly popular dish and widely reputed across the island. In keeping with the Hard Rock ethos, house DJs and live musicians provide the soundtrack until 11pm, and for the more active, there’s often a game of volleyball on offer close to the sea edge.
