Lotus UK Appointed as PR Representatives for Thomas Cook UK
Thomas Cook UK has announced the appointment of Lotus UK to provide PR support in the UK.
The brief includes the development and execution of consumer and trade PR with a particular emphasis on ensuring consistency of messaging across group and UK communications. Lotus UK will be tasked with helping to meet the company's ambition of delivering industry-leading trade, consumer and brand PR.
Lotus UK will be supporting Thomas Cook’s new in house PR team which is led by head of PR Ian Benjafield, who has been retained by Thomas Cook as a PR consultant since April 2013, and is now employed full-time. The PR division will be working to provide strategic and creative PR strategy, brand communications, media relations, reputation management and crisis response.
The Lotus UK team appointed to manage the Thomas Cook account is headed up by Jules Ugo, managing director at Lotus UK, who has almost 20 years’ experience in travel communications with expertise in media strategy and creative campaigns. Account director Frances Tuke, a PR industry expert whose extensive career includes the management of the ABTA press office, will work alongside Jules.
