LOTUS, the multi-award winning, PR and marketing agency specialising in travel, has been appointed by Spanish airline Vueling to lead its PR and communications in the United Kingdom.  

The appointment took place just prior to the announcement of Vueling’s 2022 summer flying programme which includes six new routes from London Gatwick to Spanish destinations and a total of 24 direct routes from the United Kingdom to Spain, France and Italy. This route development reinforces the ambitious international growth of the airline and in particular, the objectives for the UK market.   

LOTUS has been briefed to support Vueling with proactive and reactive media communications, helping to grow the awareness of the airline in the United Kingdom and support with the brand’s transformation plan which seeks to review the airline’s design structures to improve efficiency and emissions.  

Vueling, part of IAG, has been the leader in the Spanish domestic market since 2012 and today continues its recovery with pre-pandemic levels of business operating a total of 320 routes, including 220 international services and 100 domestic routes within Spain. In addition, the company continues to develop actions within the framework of the Flightpath Net Zero programme with the commitment of achieving net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
