For the first time in its history, WTM 2020 will be held virtually from 9–11 November. Many LOTUS clients will have a presence across the three days with opportunities for both the media and the travel trade.

SPANISH TOURIST OFFICE
The Spanish Tourism Board is responsible for marketing tourism to Spain to create value for its tourism sector promoting various tourism pillars such as gastronomy, urban culture, nature, culture and heritage and sun & beach.

THE GUYANA TOURISM AUTHORITY
Situated on the mainland of South America, Guyana is bordered by Suriname in the east, Brazil in the south and southwest, Venezuela in the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. Despite being located in South America, it is often considered part of the Caribbean region because of its strong cultural, historical, and political ties with other English Caribbean countries. Guyana was once ruled by Great Britain and known as ‘British Guiana’ until independence in 1966.
Guyana also benefits from a rich melting pot of cultures blending several indigenous communities with African, British, East Indian and Caribbean influences. In recent years, Guyana has been recognised for its sustainable tourism credentials; as well as its community-owned-and-led model of tourism.

LOTUS CEO Jules Uso will be moderating a panel discussion on using data and intelligent PR to drive sales in the current climate. The session will look at the ever-growing and intrinsic relationship between data and storytelling.
Drawing on client examples and hearing from Nick Cooper from LOTUS client Holiday Pirates, it will explore how the increasing use of data in PR is steering strategies and campaigns and how data-led PR is the most accurate, cost-effective way to ensure sales in this challenging time.

Mapping the TravelTech eco system – the players and the technologies shaping the future of travel – Tuesday 10 November 14:20 – 14:50
The travel industry is in constant flux, with new brands and disruptors coming online all of the time. In this session, TWISPER’s Tess Snelleman will join other panellists to look at the positive role played by technology entrepreneurs in job and wealth creation, as well as discuss the big issues and the opportunities ahead and what this means for the travel ecosystem of the future. This session will also include a live audience poll to create a compass of the technologies that matter the most.
