Summary

It's that time of year again and our team is busy making all the final arrangements for our clients during World Travel Market (2-5 November 2015).

Palladium Hotel Group

Main news hook:
Palladium Hotel Group to launch five star Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife in Autumn 2016. Located in the sunny southern coast near Adeje, this unique beachfront hotel will soon be ready to rock! The 624 room resort, spread across two towers (Oasis and Nirvana) will boast three pools, access to a natural seawater lagoon and a recreation area. Guests can enjoy chilling our at the Rock Spa ®, sculpting their body at the Body Rock ® gym or resting up in the Rock Royalty level suites.

Palladium Hotel Group will also be launching a new hotel in Madrid in 2016 under sub-brand Ayre Hoteles.

Greek National Tourism Organisation

Main news hook:
Greece continues to be a key destination for UK holidaymakers. In 2015 and beyond, Greece has some exciting new tourism developments including a new marina on the Greek island of Rhodes, a revamp of the Piraeus Port facilities (to be completed by the end of 2015), the completion of the new National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) at the former Fix brewery in Athens, set to open in March 2016, and the privatisation of 14 Greek regional airports.

The Balearic Islands

The Balearic Islands has long been a go-to destination for elite and amateur athletes. At WTM 2015, The Balearic Islands will highlight the sports opportunities and developments for athletes, as well as promoting their unique gastronomy, following a range of new gastro developments in Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

On stand events: Pop by the stand at 12.00 on Tuesday to catch a glimpse of Sir Bradley Marc Wiggins, CBE, who will be hosting a short (invite only) presentation on the unique sports offering of The Balearic Islands

Ibiza Tourist Board

CATA – The Central America Tourism Agency

CATA launches pan-European campaign to promote multi-destination travel to Central America
The tourism promotion agency for Central America, representing Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, has launched a pan-European campaign to maintain the steady growth of European travellers to the region.

New flight routes open Central America for UK travellers
Central America is becoming more accessible to UK travellers with the launch of the first non-stop flights to Costa Rica from the UK and new routes between Central American countries. In May 2016, British Airways begins a non-stop service from London Gatwick to the Costa Rican capital, San Jose, which follows the inaugural direct flights by Thomson Airways to the northern city of Liberia in November 2015.

Travel within Central America is being made easier thanks to new flights from VivaCam, a new low-cost carrier from the Viva Airlines Group, offering daily connections between the main Central American cities before the end of 2015; Air Panama, with a new thrice weekly flight between San Jose and Bocas del Toro, Panama, via the city of David in Panama; and Costa Rican carrier, Nature Air, launching new flights to Ometepe Island and Costa Smeralda in Nicaragua in December 2015.
