Small Luxury Hotels of the World London Spring Showcase at the Gherkin

As the sun set on 18^th March, Lotus UK climbed to the top floor of the iconic Gherkin in the City of London for the Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) 2014 Spring Showcase.

The Gherkin’s penthouse Glass Dome with its amazing views over the capital provided a very apt setting to exhibit some of the world’s finest boutique properties from the SLH portfolio. Around twenty hoteliers came to London for the event, some of whom are family members of the original hotel founders, and it was wonderful to hear the stories and history behind their properties.

Attended by 150 travel agents providing high end leisure, concierge service, corporate travel and MICE business as well as travel journalists, there was a great buzz in the dome as they chatted to the hoteliers and took in the stunning view of the capital’s bright lights.
