PICOS PARDOS SKY LOUNGE BY MARTINI OPENS ON MADRID'S GOLDEN MILE 

Picos Pardos Sky Lounge by Martini, a tropical oasis tucked away above the hustle and bustle at the luxurious BLESS Hotel Madrid, has reopened following a re-design. With a brand new menu for the season, this cosmopolitan bar known for its spectacular city views and Amazonian décor will play host to a series of events throughout the summer. Hedonistic Dinners, designed to be enjoyed from the comfort of a Balinese bed, will feature throughout the season, as will Skyline by Martini nights, full of fun and surprises every Thursday to Saturday. Guests can enjoy a dip in the glittering emerald pool before tucking into squid tartar carbonara style, or sipping on a Martini aperitif. 

 

 

HARD ROCK HOTEL MARBELLA UNVEILS NEW SUMMER 2023 POOL PARTY SCHEDULE 

New for summer 2023, four different pool party concepts will take place throughout every week at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella’s Eden Pool from 12 noon until sunset during the summer season, with free entrance for hotel guests. The brand new Bocalinda concept promises energetic pirate, F1 and wild west themed parties, taking place every Friday in July, August and September. The Bocalinda parties will be joined by Rockollection every Sunday, when Puerto Banús will vibrate with disco hits from the 80s, 90s and 00s. Those visiting on Wednesdays will be delighted by the Afro and Amapiano rhythms of Afrobeat, whilst guests hoping to catch the hottest local DJs and get down to current dance music must not miss the Heatwave series.

 

 

THE BEACH BY USHUÏA IBIZA INTRDUCES NEW MENU FROM CHEF ROBERTO RUIZ  

Renowned Mexican chef Roberto Ruiz, the first of his nationality to receive a Michelin star in Europe, has collaborated with The Beach by Ushuaïa Ibiza restaurant at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. Ruiz has introduced a menu combining Mediterranean and Pacific flavours, with dishes such as soft-shell crab tacos and grilled sea bass with poblano and guajillo sauce, using local produce to honour traditional recipes. The Beach’s new natural décor, Balinese beds and live music from local DJs create a sophisticated Mediterranean ambience.

RENOIR RETURNS TO GUERNSEY

Taking place from the 30th September – 15th December,  Art for Guernsey launches the only exhibition of Renoir’s work to be held in 2023. The unique event will celebrate Renoir’s time on the Islands of Guernsey - Art for Guernsey is delighted to announce a one-off Renoir exhibition on Guernsey, in celebration of the 140th anniversary of Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s important stay on the second largest of the Channel Islands.

In partnership with the Guernsey Museums and the Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny, Art for Guernsey has brought together a collection of Renoir’s works painted during his stay in September 1883 and for the first-time ever will show them in the locations they depict Considered one of the best works from his time on the island and one of only five still in private hands local collectors were resolved to bring this piece back to the island opening further doors for collaborating and beginning the process resulting in the Renoir in Guernsey ,1883 exhibition.

POLAR ROUTES LAUNCHES NEW ‘ULTIMATE ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION

Polar Routes, a British polar expedition cruise specialist, is offering a unique opportunity to experience Antarctica more intimately and deeply on its exclusively chartered ‘Ultimate Antarctic Expedition’. NOW OPEN: GRAND UNIVERSE LA RESIDENZA BRINGS UPSCALE SUITES AND RESIDENCES OFFERING TO THE TUSCAN TOWN OF LUCCA

The 10 new suites and residences expand the luxury offering at Grand Universe Lucca, Autograph Collection 

 An accompaniment to luxury hotel Grand Universe Lucca, the new Grand Universe La Residenza opened on Thursday 1 June 2023. The collection of 10 suites and residences pay homage to the storied heritage of Lucca and the noble Mansi family, while providing an upscale experience for today’s eclectic traveller.    

With a history dating back to 1572, the three-story Grand Universe La Residenza – then called “Palazzo Mansi on Carrara Street” – was one of many properties that belonged to the Mansi family, one of the most successful silk merchants of the sixteenth century. The family home was passed down for generations and now begins its new chapter as an expansion of luxury property Grand Universe Lucca. 

The rooms are named after the abundant flora and rich aromas of Lucca, including the Laurier, Lilas and Lavande junior suites; Melisse and Narcisse one-bedroom suites; Camelia two-bedroom suite; Jacinthe and Jasmin one-bedroom residences; and Thyme and Tulipe two-bedroom residences. The one- and two-bedroom residences include a fully equipped kitchen, and almost all spaces feature spacious living areas for entertaining and relaxation post-Lucca exploration.
